Bluboo x550 an android phone with huge battery

New Chinese smartphone maker Bluboo today announced the launch of the Bluboo X550 phablet, touted as the world’s first Android 5.0 Lollipop 4G smartphone with a 5,300mAh capacity battery.

The Bluboo X550 is a phablet and comes with a 5.5-inch display that offers a resolution of 720 x 1280, giving it a pixel density of 267 PPI. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MTK6735 chipset and comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable onboard storage. The X550 will be offered with a 13 or 8MP rear camera, depending on the variant.

Since the phablet features a huge 5,300mAh, one of the major concerns that buyers would have is the long charging time. However, you have nothing to worry as the Bluboo X550 supports quick charging with MediaTek’s PumpExpress Plus technology. Bluboo is claiming the 5,300mAh battery of the X550 can be charged up to 75% in just 60 minutes and up to 50% capacity in 40 minutes.

The Bluboo X550 will go on sale May 19th onwards at a price of $149.99. However, this introductory pricing will be valid only till June 4th. From June 5th to July 4th, you will need to pay $159.99 for the phablet, and $169.99 July 5th onwards.
